Why do my reports show students as "Working On" stages they previously completed?
Description

The new version of Symphony Math adds content to every Stage of the program. After updating to the latest version, it will be necessary for students to work through the new material. The new content has two consequences:

  1. Students who were previously at higher Stages will be placed into Stage 1. Most students will be able to work through the new material in a short period of time, especially if they answer tasks correctly and quickly in the timed fluency activity (the Mastery Round).
  2. Student and Group Concepts Reports will show "Working On" for the status of most Stages until students work through the new content.
Solutions
  • Recommended: Reset all students' progress to allow them to work through Symphony Math from Stage 1. This allows students a chance to review previously mastered content, and the program branching will quickly move students through Stages until they reach their level of challenge.
  • Deactivate previously mastered Stages for students so that they can continue working in their current stage:
    • Login to the online Administration Panel.
    • Click the Students tab.
    • Click on a student name to access their Student Properties.
    • From the right side, check only the Stages on which the student will work.
    • Click Save Changes.
